Never meant to be

I've loved you just a while.
I never thought it will reach this far.
I've known from the start,
you can't be mine.

They say that you and I are not meant to be.
We both live in two different worlds.
But whenever I'm sad, and then I see you coming,
my tears just run dry and I'll now be smiling.

I've shown all my love for you.
You took the risk and love me too.
But love didn't work out that time.
It seems that we can't get ourselves to rhyme.

Even though love is present in both of us,
we still lack faith and trust.
That's why no matter how much I love you,
YOU and I can never be true.
